Approach

Prof. Dr. Arda Lembet is a physician who has shaped the field of healthcare with over 30 years of expertise in women’s health, high-risk pregnancies, and healthy aging, supported by a holistic health vision.

Throughout his career, he has emphasized that medicine should not be limited to treating illnesses but should focus on protecting health by addressing its root causes and supporting individuals’ long-term well-being.

Believing that health must be approached not solely through data but through a multidisciplinary integration of expertise, Prof. Dr. Lembet has dedicated his work to raising awareness for healthier individuals and communities.

With this holistic outlook, he has developed specialized protocols for both women’s and men’s health and emphasized the importance of scientifically supporting healthy aging (longevity).

Experience

After completing his specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1991, Prof. Dr. Lembet conducted research on perinatal infections at the University of Colorado in the United States, contributing to international health projects.

In 1995, he completed a clinical fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, where he focused deeply on high-risk pregnancies, fetal therapy, placental pathology, and fetal neurological health.

Upon returning to Turkey, he led the establishment and development of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine departments in several major universities and hospital groups, including:

Prof. Dr. Lembet expanded his contributions beyond pregnancy and childbirth, establishing two pioneering health platforms aimed at supporting holistic wellness:

A multidisciplinary center in Istanbul specializing in high-risk pregnancies and maternal-fetal care, delivering compassionate, science-based, and individualized treatments.

Founder

Pınar Lembet held senior roles in hospital groups, health insurance, and pharmaceutical companies after her experience in investment banking. She is now the co-founder of LaraHealth, where she leads its establishment and execution of growth strategy.

She began her career at Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), then moved to the Privatization Administration, where she worked on portfolio company valuations and sales. Later, she specialized in financing energy and real estate projects at TAIB Investment Bank and Fieldstone Private Capital Group in New York.

In 2005, she transitioned to the healthcare sector, taking senior roles in hospital chains such as Acıbadem Healthcare Group, Universal Hospitals Group, and Esteworld Plastic Surgery Group. She oversaw functions including finance, investor relations, marketing, corporate communication, and hospital management. During this time, she led project teams responsible for shareholder stock sales, company acquisitions, and transformation business plans. She also worked in corporate communications at MSD Turkey.

Subsequently, she became the leader of Allianz Turkey’s Health Division and joined the Allianz Global Health CEO network, contributing to the development of the company’s global strategies. Among her projects were the corporate health management program and the chronic disease management program.

Pınar Lembet is also a founding partner of ValueHealth, a healthcare consulting company serving public and private clients as well as public-private partnership sponsors in the hospital and health insurance sectors.

Education

She holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Middle East Technical University, an MBA from Bilkent University, and a master’s degree in accounting, auditing, and international reporting from Bahçeşehir University.

Academic Advisor / Strategy

Deniz Ülke Kaynak graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Science, Department of International Relations. She completed her master’s and doctoral degrees at Istanbul University and, in 1995, graduated from the School of Terrorism and International Security at St. Andrews University, Scotland.

Throughout her academic career, she has lectured at Istanbul University, Istanbul Bilgi University, Bahçeşehir University, the Air Force Academy, and the War Academies. Between 2007 and 2010, she served as Rector of Bahçeşehir University, followed by a position as a Board Member of Istanbul Bilgi University’s Board of Trustees. From 2016 to 2017, she was a Visiting Scholar at Oxford University, St. Antony’s College, and from 2013 to 2022, she served as an Independent Board Member at Denizbank.

Since joining Üsküdar University in 2017, she has served as Advisor to the Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. She is also a Senior Fellow at the Centre for the Resolution of Intractable Conflict (CRIC) at Oxford University, where she continues her academic research. Additionally, she is the Director of the Political Psychology Centre at Üsküdar University, which she founded.

Her recent research focuses on security issues from a political psychology perspective and the peaceful resolution of terrorism-related conflicts. She is a board member of the International Dialogue Initiative (IDI), an interdisciplinary and international working group dedicated to these issues. Deniz Ülke Kaynak is also one of the few Turkish academics inducted into the World Academy of Art and Science.

Advocacy and Leadership

As a strong advocate for women’s empowerment, she is among the founding members of the Turkish Businesswomen Association (TİKAD) and the Women in Technology Association. She also serves as an advisory board member of the Women on Boards Association, supporting projects that promote gender equality in Turkey and worldwide.

Publications

She has published numerous national and international articles and has authored 13 books. Some of the works she has edited include “Under the Shadow of China: Southeast Asia”, “In the Shadow of Traumas”, “The Psychopolitics of the Pandemic”, and “Unending Mourning: COVID.” She is also a co-author of the International Relations Dictionary, a fundamental resource in the field of international relations.

Her notable books include “Actors of the Globalization Scenario”, “From Tribe to Globalization: The Thought of International Relations”, “From the End of History to the End of Peace: Terror”, “Seeing the Bigger Picture”, “The Wall”, and “From Trauma to Victory.”

Additionally, she has authored two books in English: “Wall” and “Constructing Motherhood Against Political Violence.”
