İlayda Demir, who graduated third in her class from the Psychology Department at Ondokuz Mayıs University in 2016, later completed her master’s degree in Neuroscience at the Istanbul University Aziz Sancar Experimental Medicine Research Institute in 2021.
She has received professional training in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, TPD Cognitive Neuropsychological Assessment, and Clinical Applications of Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, among others. İlayda Demir completed her clinical internships at Prof. Dr. İlhan Özdemir State Hospital Psychiatry Department (2014-2016), Istanbul Medical Faculty Neuropsychology Laboratory (2016), and Istanbul Medical Faculty Behavioral Neurology and Movement Disorders Unit (2016-2019).
Subsequently, she began working as a neuropsychologist, collaborating with clinical teams to assess and treat neuropsychological and psycho-linguistic conditions in patients with Alzheimer’s disease, progressive aphasia, stroke aphasia, brain tumors, and dementia. She has contributed to scientific research in cognitive neuroscience and neuropsychology using tools such as Eye tracking, FreeSurfer, SuperLab, DataViewer, and SPSS.
From 2021 to 2022, she served as a lecturer in Psychological Tests, Neuropsychology, and Neuropsychological Testing at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University.
İlayda Demir is the founder and director of the Brain Tumor Support Group and the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Support Group, and she currently works as a research assistant in the Psychology Department at FMV Işık University.
