With extensive experience in genetic disease evaluation center management, next-generation genomics applications, and biotechnology, Eren Sayın began his career as a research assistant at Ege University, Department of Medical Genetics. During this time, he played an active role in the standardization and process management of genetic diagnostic tests in a molecular genetics laboratory.
He later continued his career at Makro Sağlık A.Ş. in İzmir, working as an application specialist and business development manager. During this period, he received specialized training in applications, bioinformatics, and 1-on-1 techniques at globally renowned companies such as Bio-Rad and Illumina in the United States. With these skills, he pioneered next-generation genetic sequencing projects in Turkey, successfully implementing them for the first time in the country.
In 2009, Eren Sayın became the Deputy General Manager at Donegenetik and Bioinformatics, an Istanbul-based company. He contributed to university-supported projects and participated in national research initiatives funded by TÜBİTAK and KOSGEB. During his tenure, he led the licensing and establishment of genetic disease evaluation centers for two university hospitals and the company itself.
In 2015, he co-founded DNA Laboratories A.Ş. in Istanbul and served as its General Manager for two years.
In 2017, Eren Sayın joined Genetiks Global as a Managing Partner and was soon appointed as the company’s CEO. Under his leadership, Genetiks Global expanded its international reach, exporting genetic testing services to 22 countries. He continues to oversee the company’s investments, field strategies, and global expansion efforts.
Additionally, Eren Sayın is the co-founder and business development director of Heliks ARGE and Biyoteknoloji A.Ş., companies specializing in genetic diagnostic kits and biotechnology research.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Ege University and has attended graduate courses in Fundamental and Industrial Microbiology. Throughout his career, he has contributed to numerous academic publications and research activities, sharing his expertise in genetics with a broad audience.
